The Museum to Market Trail

The Museum to Market Trail will feature 2.5 miles of protected, paved multi-use trail for use by pedestrians, cyclists and other non-motorized vehicles. The trail, located in Jackson, Mississippi stretches from the High Street Farmers Market to the southern end of LeFleur's Bluff State Park, home of the Mississippi Museum of Natural Science and the Mississippi Children's Museum.

The Museum to Market trail connects the Belhaven, Downtown and Belhaven Heights neighborhoods including the connection of three parks, and providing safe passage across I-55. The investment of the Museum to Market trail will provide an unmistakable value to both individuals and families in the Jackson Metro area by providing opportunities for growth in business, culture, health, safety, access and community.  

 

The "Museum to Market Trail" has the opportunity to provide healthy access for residents of Jackson and has the potential to lead to increased local economic development efforts, increased physical activity and increased access to culture and community with it's featured focus on Jackson Museum's and connectivity to the MS Farmer's Market.  

 

Funding for the Trail has been awarded to the city of Jackson from the Mississippi Department of Transportation with additional support from Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Mississippi, the Greater Jackson Chamber Partnership, Jackson Heart Clinic and so many more!
