Jackson's first community-led Trail is scheduled for breaking ground in March 2020!
The Museum Trail is a success story of community collaboration.
This is the first multi-use path in the Capital City that was asked for and advocated for by citizens, supported by local businesses and created with the City of Jackson paving the way. Walkers, Runners, bicycle riders, rollerbladers, nature lovers and explorers of all ages, in all parts of the city: The Museum Trail is for you!
This Trail shows that community led efforts work. Join the effort to Blaze the next Trail in your community.
In November, 2019, the Jackson City Council approved a construction contract that will result in a completed trail in the year 2020 along with a $450,000 donation from private citizens and organizations who are committed to bicycle and pedestrian infrastructure in Mississippi’s Capital City!
As construction begins, we ask for your patience as we continue to advocate for what will be a wonderful path to increased health, quality of life and economic development in Jackson.
